OH MY GOD THIS QUESTION MAKES ME SO ANGRY. the fact that anyone would feel that it's NECESSARY to ban books from a high school makes me go into conniptions: if the books aren't banned in the real world then let the kids be exposed to it! It's not like they'll be sheltered from whatever is banned from the school library; there are these things called public libraries (gasp) that have books available for the public to read, therefore the kids could just get it from there. Obviously, this is within reasonable limits (no porn or stuff like that) but really? High school kids are trying to grow up and having adults ban them from certain books in no way helps or makes any sense at all.

I had a lazylazy day today, which was a nice break from this week/saturday. However, it makes me depressed to think I have all my homework and a meet for SIX GAWDAMN HOURS tomorrow :(( whine whine whine i hate exercise

So I went back to read the first real book i ever read, in first grade. A Wrinkle In Time, By Madeleine L'Engle. This prompted me to google search stars.

 Ugh, violin. 
I've played it since I was five

I don't hate it.... but I don't love it
I feel guilty because I feel like I should love it and practice all the time and get good at it
for my dad I guess
But honestly, sitting here
and contemplating the fact that tomorrow I have violin lessons from 8:30-9:30 am
and then RIPYO from 9:30-12pm...
I'm feeling pretty unmotivated about it
I haven't practiced all summer, so obviously I'm not going to sound good

aaaand I'm overall not looking forward to having to wake up at 730 and then spending 5 hours playing violin :I
this is my saturday schedule from now, till basically the end of the school year.

Well... summer's over.

All I can say is they are going to have to drag me back to school by the ankles.

Ugh, I had the best summer, from meeting my BEST FRAN EVER to taking a lifedrawing course, making doctor who cupcakes because I'm really cool, and a whole bunch of other junk with friends. I just don't want it to end ;_;
I'll always remember July 10th (it's still written on my desk chebbie)
I'll remember being scared and walking into lifedrawing for the first time
I'll remember eating pecan sticky bunz at 7 stars bakery and drinking iced coffee (newfavoriteplace<33)
I'll remember when it was too hot to move without pouring sweat (100 degreez + humidity, gotta love it!)
I'll remember kidnapping Meghan and having marshmallow wars...
And biking with JJ and Owdy down the bikepath in a tiara and hot pink scarf. (PINK BRIGADE)
I'll remember sitting on JJ's trampoline and talking with everyone
and going to the beach with Nicole and her momma and talking about childhood trauma ;)
I'll remember saying goodbye to my cousin when she left for California
I'll remember going to Hersheypark and my cousin throwing a fit
I"ll remember Richard and his amazing stories, his inspiration
I'll remember having fraps with val in her newport mansion
and the Lithuanian bakery.
I'll remember so many special things about so many great people, I love you all <3

cross country tomorrow, SHOOOT ME PLEASE. ugh, I've been having such a good end of summer and now all this summer work and SCHOOL SHIT and cross country are KILLIN MAH BUZZZZZ. Haha, my lj posts are always depressing because I'm more in the mood to write down the stuff that sucks when I think about it, cause thinking about good things just makes me happy and I'm less inclined to talk bunches about them because I feel like I'm bragging (runonsentenceFAIL). today i went to the beach for the first time this year, and I'd forgotten how much I love the ocean. Just staring out into the blue-green distance for miles and miles on end, diving underneath a cresting wave and feeling the currents rippling around you makes you feel like you're part of something so beautiful <3 Sure RI is small, and has it's fair share of ridiculous people and the accent and such. I'll miss some of them. But I think the thing I'm going to miss the most is the ocean.

PEOPLE RANT:
It was probably around 8th grade that I realized i was cool for who I was, and not for the people I hung around with or the clothes i wore. A lot of what shel said is basically what I would say, so I think I'm going to just start of with, you guessed it, THE UNDERAGED DRINKING RANT.

Life drawing tonight was gewd, I had to draw the HARDEST EFFING PERSPECTIVE on this stool the teacher put ~overlapping~ our model. Seriously, it took way too long, and I didn't have time to finish the background. ahhh well. Got to know other children in the class, who all seem to have the same tendency of staying up ridiculously late for no reason at all. Oh man. I don't think this charcoal is ever going to wash out of my hands, hahah.

I can't even explain the feeling when I saw Shelby jump out of her car. My life is complete, and these were honestly the best few days of my life. We didn't take a lot of pictures or anything until the last day, but I'm glad we didn't. Sometimes memories are better. It feels so weird not having her next to me :I 1300 miles is so far, ballz
